Singapore: Circuit Breaker extension Sensitivity required for marketing campaigns
The government announced that the current Circuit Breaker (CB) will continue for another one and a half months. We all have the same stress under WFH and MCO till 1st June.
Last week, some might have heard that Japan PM Abe was criticised for the music collaboration campaign encouraging people to stay home.
This week, the cartoon campaign called Covid-19 superheroes was announced by Singapore government on its website sg.gov.
Immediately after the online announcement on Facebook, the campaign got backlash with Singaporeans’ anger. It was taken down and disappeared within 2 days.
Both campaigns initiated by the governments seem to have used wrong tone in the midst of Covid-19 time. We need to be highly sensitive on business campaign styles.
Well, this week, Singapore’s 150 most attractive employers were announced. The survey was done by the Straits Times and market research ﬁrm Statista.
